Activities: THE FRENCH REVOLUTION
1- The nobility and the clergy were unhappy because they lost power to the absolute monarchy. Moreover, some of them had economic difficulties.
The bourgeoise lacked political influence and their businesses were limited by the monarchy.
Finally, the peasantry suffering from taxes and they were living in misery.
2- The spark that set off the revolution were a financial crisis and a food crisis.
3- The book of grievances were books which compiled all complaints. These books would present to their representatives before the Estates-General. In the first one, the nobility asked the conservation of the nobility distinctions. In the second one, the clergy asked the conservation of all tithes. In the third one, the Third Estate asked to abolish all privileges.

A-The Estates-General were an assembly where all states were represented. It were summoned by the king.
B- The state need money to pass the financial problems. It is in the first paragraph of "The opening of the Estates-General"
5- This picture show the moment the Third Estate redefined themselves as the National Assembly. After that, the revolution began because the king tried to dissolve the assembly.
